Whilst we anticipated minimal changes to employment law if the UK decided to remain, we have frequently discussed and debated the implications of an exit from the EU.
Employment law has benefited greatly from membership of the EU and the UK has taken momentous steps forward in areas such as equal pay, workers’ basic rights, discrimination laws to name but a few.
There is great confusion and uncertainty regarding what will happen in the future to these adopted fundamental rights and values, however, many of these laws have now become enshrined into our own legal system and it is hoped that the UK will continue to value and respect the enriched working culture we have developed.
