For all dismissals on or after 6 April 2021, a week’s pay, for basic awards and statutory redundancy purposes will increase from £538 to £544. This will increase the maximum basic award and statutory redundancy payment to £16,320.

The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal will also increase from £88,519 to £89,493.

A Guarantee Payment will remain at £30 per day.

For discrimination claims and whistleblowing claims issued on or after 6 April 2021 the Vento bands will increase as follows:

• Lower band: £900 to £9,100
• Middle band: £9,100 to £27,400
• Upper band: £27,400 to £45,600.
• Exceptional cases: over £45,600
