Laura is a CIPD Level 7 qualified HR Professional with over 10 years of people management experience across a variety of major companies in both the private and non-profit sector.
Beginning her career in recruitment and quickly moving into operations management, Laura was responsible for significant budgets and and tight manning plans after a series of successful promotions, supporting large corporations through their busiest periods and being drafted to trouble-shoot contracts which were about to be served notice to. As a people manager herself, she is fully aware of the challenges faced by managers as well having the practical and HR knowledge to overcome them. Laura likes to stay fully up to date on emerging case law and one step ahead wherever possible.
Laura eventually made a move into HR after her role evolved and has never looked back, thoroughly enjoying a fast-paced environment where HR is recognised and respected.
More recently, she has also worked providing outsourced support to SMEs who do not require a full-time HR presence but need a little guidance occasionally. Laura’s specialisms are employment law, HR documentation, employee relations, recruitment and performance management. She is a CPD accredited Mediator and a trained Employment Tribunal Advocate. In addition, Laura sits on England Netball’s Disciplinary Panel and is Club Captain and Chairperson for Panthera Netball Club.
