Mums in Leadership
For this month’s Mums in Leadership networking event we will be joined by Jay Bhayani, who will join us to talk about employment rights. Whether you’re a mum in leadership wanting to understand what this means for you or your team, or a working mum interested in progressing in your career come and join us to learn more from Jay.
Jay has both personal and professional experience of the challenges of balancing a career and motherhood. She will provide some insights into employment rights, and in particular recent wider protection for pregnant women and returners. Jay will also share her own experiences of both being employed, and then a business owner, and over the last 10 years running an all-female law firm.
The Event: October Meet-Up and Networking
Location: Sheffield Technology Parks, Arundel Street, Sheffield City Centre, Sheffield, UK
We are so lucky to have Jay give her time to come and share her knowledge with us, it really isn’t one to be missed. Oh, and if you’re on maternity leae or you find on the day that you have no choice but to have your child with you, feel free to bring them along (just drop us a message at [email protected] to let us know)
At Mums in Leadership, we believe that being a mum shouldn’t hold you back from achieving your career goals. We hold the term ‘Leadership’ loosely and believe that any working mum can be a leader. Although those in leadership positions often have the power to make the changes we want to see for working mums, they are not the only ones that can lead. Our networking is for those in leadership/management positions (C-suite, public sector, charity or third sector or owning your own business) as well as for working mums wanting to progress into leadership or simply wanting to create a more equitable working environment in their role. As a mum, you’re already a leader, so if you yearn for a community where you can connect and be supported in campaigning for mums rights this is the place for you.
Don’t miss out on this chance to network in a safe space with like-minded mums, share experiences, and build a supportive community. Come and be inspired by the stories of resilience, determination, and success from other mums in leadership.
