National Apprenticeship Week 2022 – Build the future
This week is National Apprenticeship Week 2022, the 15th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships.
The week brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships have on individuals, businesses, and the wider economy.
This year’s theme is ‘build the future’ reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and the businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.
Below is what one of our Watertight HR & Legal clients has to say about Apprenticeships
“From an employer’s perspective using apprenticeships as a viable strategy to upskill and develop staff can help businesses overcome some of the major issues they are facing today i.e difficulties in recruiting, succession planning, growth enablement & staff retention. The shift in Apprenticeships over the last few years has made them incredibly valuable qualifications when they are tailored to meet the employer’s needs and used strategically.” Oliver Simpson, Commercial Director at Ascento Learning & Development.
Ascento Learning & Development is a fully accredited provider of learning and development programmes, that have been designed to add real value to both our learners and the employers they work for.
Our Stories
Here at Bhayani Law, we take great pride in supporting aspiring individuals to help build their futures and develop their skills. In the spirit of celebrating, we wanted to share with you the stories of our shining apprentices, those who have completed the course, and those who are currently studying.
Alice Bradshaw
I started at Bhayani HR & Employment Law as a business administrator apprentice 5 years ago. At this time, I was 17 years of age and had no real experience in an office working environment. Working life is completely different to being in school or university and an apprenticeship is a way of easing you into that environment whilst having people around to guide you along the way. My colleagues were able to show me the ropes of everyday working life which I have been very grateful for. Since then, I have also completed another apprenticeship through Ascento Learning and Development to become a Digital Marketer in 2018. Both apprenticeships have made me productive and effective in the workplace and they have been a great way to grow and develop my skills.

I am currently doing my Level 3 Business Administration with Bhayani Law. Partnering with Sheffield City Council, working at Bhayani Law has given me a real hands-on experience in the role of business administration within an office environment. Joining the team has allowed me to gain a wide range of skills and improve my confidence within the workplace.
Hannah Haywood
I am a law graduate and have worked in an employment law role at Bhayani Law for a few years now. I am currently undertaking the brand new solicitors appreniticeship available for the first time to graduates.
I had never heard of a graduate apprenticeship before starting my course and was thrilled to learn that this was a route available to me. The typical route to a solicitor’s qualification can often be expensive and time-consuming however my apprenticeship enabled me to continue working whilst I gain my qualifications. This is not only a personal achievement for me but is also a huge benefit to the firm as it means I can continue working full time whilst studying.
