Join Bhayani HR & Employment Law and Steve Chu for the Charity Leaders Forum – Charity Mergers.

Charity mergers are seen by many as ‘a dirty word’ which are not ’the done thing’ in the not-for-profit sector. But as the pressures on charities grow stronger, closer collaboration between charities, or even merging, is increasingly being considered.

In this session, Steve Chu, will explore the barriers to charity mergers and how they can be overcome, as part of Trustee and senior managers’ regular reviews of how they can maximise their impact on beneficiaries.

Hannah Haywood, Employment Lawyer at Bhayani HR & Employment Law will take us through the legal implications of a merger including employee consultations, Tupe and restructures, and changing terms and conditions post-merger.

Steve Chu is freelance charity consultant who has recently graduated from the prestigious Bayes Business School with an MSc in Charity Accounting and Financial Management. His final dissertation focused on charity mergers.
